“Every worker deserves to be heard, treated with dignity, and able to stand up for their rights. I’m committed to building strong relationships with my clients and advocating fiercely for the justice and fair treatment they deserve.”
Kay joined Frank Freed Subit & Thomas in September 2026. Her practice focuses on representing workers in a wide range of employment matters, including workplace discrimination, retaliation, disability discrimination and accommodation, wrongful termination, wage-and-hour, and leave law violations. She also works on wage-and-hour class actions.
Kay has spent her legal career representing workers. She understands the inequities regular people face in the legal system and believes that everyday people deserve a fierce advocate when standing up to major corporations or the State. Known for her empathetic approach, Kay builds deep connections with her clients. She is also recognized for her dogged advocacy and unrelenting commitment to justice.
Before joining Frank Freed Subit & Thomas, Kay litigated a broad range of civil rights and employment cases at a law firm in Seattle. She continued to focus on employment and civil rights matters in the Complex Litigation department of a Pacific Northwest law firm.
During law school, Kay gained hands-on experience advising workers as part of the Ronald A. Peterson Worker’s Rights clinic. She also clerked for a private workers' rights law firm and served as a Rule 9 Law Clerk for the Washington State Attorney General's Office in the Labor and Industries division. During the peak of the COVID pandemic, Kay helped secure unemployment benefits for workers who had been wrongly denied.
