Jillian M. Cutler

Jillian M. Cutler is a partner at Frank Freed Subit & Thomas LLP.  She has been representing employees and unions for nearly 20 years. Jillian’s employment practice focuses on discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, and disability rights litigation. Her practice also includes litigating wage-and-hour class actions and representing executives in employment contract negotiations and disputes. Jillian serves her clients as a tenacious and proven advocate who is also a pragmatic and empathetic advisor.

Jillian is an experienced leader in the Washington legal community and a frequent speaker at employment law conferences. She serves on the Board of the Washington Leadership Institute (WLI). Jillian has served as Secretary of the Washington State Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section, Trustee of the King County Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section, and a member of the King County Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Committee. She has served as an Associate Editor for multiple editions of the Lindemann & Grossman Employment Discrimination Law treatise.  Jillian is also active in the American Bar Association Labor & Employment Section. She is recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in employment and labor law.

Prior to entering private practice, Jillian practiced employment discrimination and civil rights law as a staff attorney and clinical teaching fellow at the Institute for Public Representation at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington D.C. She is a graduate of Yale University, summa cum laude, and Yale Law School, where she served on the law journal. Prior to law school, Jillian earned a degree from King’s College, Cambridge, which she attended as a Marshall Scholar. She is a former law clerk to Judge Louis H. Pollak of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
